Medicare Coverage of Infusion
Therapy
On January 1,
2006 the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services (CMS) began a
program called Medicare Part D which is a
prescription drug program for
Medicare recipients. There
are significant gaps in the
program for home infusion
therapy. Our Michigan
legislators are now supporting
bills to remove the gaps in
coverage for home infusion
therapy.
